UAE partakes in Arab human rights conference

TUNIS 2nd November 2015 (WAM) --- The UAE is participating in the first conference of human rights officials from the Arab interior ministries which started today in Tunisia.

Participants seek to strike a balance between security and respect for human rights and promote the culture of human rights at Arab security services.

The UAE interior ministry's delegation to the conference includes Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Mur head of Dubai Police's Human Rights Care Department and two other officers.

In his opening remarks Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council Mohammed Ali Koman said the conference shows the council's determination to take all possible measures to promote human rights.

He stressed on the importance of co-operation between Arab states in addressing problems under discussion.
