Kazakh delegation visits Jordan to promote energy expo


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A Kazakh delegation headed by First Deputy Foregin Minister and "EXPO 2017" Commissioner, Rapil Zhoshybayev, will arrive in Amman today to encourage Jordanian enterprises to participate in EXPO 2017.

The Kazakh embassy in Jordan said the visit comes on the sidelines of Kazakhstan capital Astana's hosting the event slated to be held from June 10 to September 10, 2017.

The embassy said in a statement that the delegation will hold talks during the two-day visit, with officials and businessmen as well as the private sector on Jordan's participation that will focus on future energy.

Astana EXPO-2017 is one of Kazakhstan's key projects to position itself as a world hub on sustainable energy. Since the Expo was recognized by the International Exhibitions Bureau last June, the Expo teams have been able to officially start promoting their project and inviting countries to participate.
