3 fatalities, 9 injuries in traffic accidents


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Three people were killed and nine others were injured Sunday in road accidents in Zarqa and Amman, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD).

It said a collision between a truck and a tanker near a traffic light in the Zarqa Governorate left one person dead, and another was killed when a public bus and a minibus collided on the Zarqa-Amman Highway. CDD crews and medics evacuated the bodies to nearby hospitals.

Zarqa CDD teams also rushed to the site of a two-vehicle collision in a neighbourhood of the city and transferred five injured people to hospital, where they were listed in a fair condition.

A third man was killed and four others were injured in a collision between two vehicles near the Seventh Circle area of West Amman. CDD medics administered first aid to the injured before evacuating them to hospital, where they were reported in a moderate condition.
