Veeam Software sees amazing opportunities in Saudi market
(MENAFN- Arab News) LAS VEGAS: Saudi Arabia is not a slow market for Veeam Software anymore and the global group finds that the Kingdom has not only picked up very well but has become one of the most investor-friendly countries.
"In fact Saudi Arabia is an amazing market for us" says Gregg Petersen regional director Middle East and SAARC at Veeam Software.
'If not this year Veeam Software expects Saudi Arabia to outperform the UAE most likely next year' said Petersen. 'As much as 60 percent of the region's revenue will come from Saudi Arabia' Petersen said.
"We will continue to invest in people channel and marketing in Saudi Arabia and in the region to achieve a double-digit growth" he said.
Veeam Software claimed to be an innovative provider of solutions that deliver availability for the Modern Data Center made significant inroads across the region in 2015 with major customer wins he said adding that Saudi Arabia is fast emerging as one of Veeam's largest markets in the Middle East.
Veeam continues to invest adding to head count and expanding its partner network to achieve the ambitious double-digit growth. Veeam's ongoing success in 2015 has been fueled by the strategic strengthening of its channel.
One of the biggest channel initiatives was the launch of the VMCE certification training program that has enabled channel to fulfill end-to-end transactions with minimal support.

With the deployment of Veeam Availability Suite Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO) for instance managed to maximize productivity save money and renew its commitment to observing a sustainable and green strategy across its business.
During the VeeamON conference at Aria Convention Center the company announced a Veeam-Managed Backup Portal for Service Providers which will be available during Q1 2016.
Available through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace the backup portal for service provider streamlines the delivery of Veeam-powered backup services for service providers.
Veeam President and CEO Ratmir Timashev said: "Comprehensive availability strategies can only be delivered by true availability experts; which is why more and more companies who do not possess this expertise internally are looking to trusted managed service providers to help."
He said: "With Veeam-Managed Backup Portal for Service Providers we are not only providing peace of mind to customers in ensuring their critical data and applications are protected but we are delivering new business opportunities to our partners."
Timashev added: "Not only this announcement further illustrates Veeam's commitment to its partner ecosystem Veeam managed backup portal for service providers is another addition to our robust portfolio of clod-focused offerings."
Doug Hazelman vice president of product strategy at Veeamhasannounced Veeam Backup for Linux a free standalone agent that delivers backup and recovery for Linux servers running in the public cloud as well as for a few remaking physical Linux servers running on premises.
Customers can use this tool to back up individual cloud instances and restore them on premises or back up on premises and restore in the cloud.
"Backing up and recovering Linux servers is often a complicated and costly process frequently needing manual intervention or consuming too much of an IT administrator's time" Hazelman said.
A closed beta version of Veeam backup for Linux will be available in the first half of next year on a first come first serve basis.
