Shurooq promotes Sharjah's growth prospects in Malaysia

SHARJAH 1st November 2015 (WAM) -- As part of its strategy to cement the Emirate of Sharjah's position as a leading regional hub for investment and business the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority Shurooq is set to take part in the 11th edition of the World Islamic Economic Forum WIEF in the Malaysian Capital Kuala Lumpur from November 3rd5th.

Geared towards attracting investors interested in the emirate the Shurooq stand at WIEF features information about Sharjah's burgeoning sectors with a focus on the Halal tourism and travel market logistics and transportation healthcare services the environment and green energy. In addition the Shurooq team will provide forum's attendees with a presentation on the available opportunities in the Emirate.

Commenting on the authority's participation in WIEF Saud Meqdad Al Suwaidi Director of International Relations and Partnerships at Shurooq said "The World Islamic Economic Forum is an ideal platform for us to promote Sharjah as a leading destination for investment and business in the Middle East region.

"The Emirate offers international investors in general and Halal-conscious enterprises in particular a wide range of exciting growth opportunities across various sectors. As Sharjah's economy continues to gain more momentum we are looking to attract international companies to be part of the emirate's success story."

Headed by Al Suwaidi the Shurooq delegation to WIEF comprises Investment Promotion Executives Marwan Saleh Al Alichla and Yonghui MA.
