MCS approves discusses launch of programme for tutors

Abu Dhabi 1st November 2015 (WAM) -- The Ministerial Council for Services (MCS) today discussed a project for creating a programme for tutors in the federal universities. The programme aims to support the higher education sector harness energies and human capital and attract best competencies in different academic specialisations. Increasing the number of Emirati holders of masters and PhD degrees is the key target of the programme.

Chaired by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs the MCS discussed the policy of assessing nurseries in public and private sector institutions to ensure they provide better services in early health care and safety for babies in line with international quality standards and performance assessment consistent with the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The MCS also gave its nod for drafting a federal bill to regulate clearance contracts and financial deals so as to align local contracts with international best standards set out by International Association of Forex Traders.

Another federal draft law will be prepared to amend the criminal procedure law for 1992 to regulate the e-signature system in criminal cases.

The MCS also proposed amendments to the executive regulation of the federal law No. 14 for 2014 regarding control of communicable diseases and provisions of cabinet resolution No. 7 for 2008 on medical fitness screening and examination of new entrants for work or residence.
