German unemployment drops again in October


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) BERLIN Muharram 16 1437 October 29 2015 SPA --Germany's unemployment rate dropped to 6 percent in October as the labor market in Europe's strongest economy remained healthy AP reported.
The Federal Labor Agency said Thursday that the rate ticked down 0.2 percentage points from September with 59000 fewer people out of work. Overall 2.65 million Germans were registered as unemployed during the month.
Adjusted for seasonal factors the unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.4 percent where it has been since April.
Germany's economy remains strong though the government recently trimmed its 2015 growth forecast to 1.7 from 1.8 percent. It cited weakness in China and other major emerging economies.
