Bahraini Indian cultural cooperation reviewed

MANAMA 29th October 2015 (WAM) -- Sheikha Mai bint Mohammad Al Khalifa President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Alok Kumar Sinha have discussed ways to enhance cooperation and the latest developments in respect of the Little India project.

According to Bahrain News Agency BNA Sheikha Mai underlined the strength of relations between the two countries especially in the cultural field. She noted the importance of the Little India project in promoting intellectual and cultural communication between the two nations and its contribution to enhancing the cultural tourism industry. The Little India Project will be located in Bab Bahrain Old Suq and is an excellent venue to get a taste for Indian culture in Bahrain.

The project's first phase will be launched during the Authority for Culture and Antiquities celebrations of Bahrain National Day in December.

The Indian Ambassador lauded the authority's efforts in boosting the Bahraini-Indian relations expressing readiness to provide the support needed for the implementation of joint cultural projects in Bahrain.
