Delivering such a huge quantity of coal to someone’s home address completely out of the blue is an event that could have been fractious and difficult but perhaps surprisingly the recipient took it very well. “He was more amused than anything else” said Belsey “he was sure he knew who it was from and said he’d be responding in kind soon. In the meantime he’d try selling the coal in his local neighborhood.”
