Arab International Women's Forum kicks off today


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar is to host today the seventh session of the Arab International Women's Forum (AIWF). The event is being organised by Young Arab Women Leadership, in partnership with Qatar Chamber's Businesswomen Forum, Qatar International Businesswomen Forum (QIBWF) and Qatar Business Incubator (QBI).
The forum will discuss the role of the governments, civil society, media and academic sector in helping youths in business.
Hayfa'a al-Kaylani, founder and chairperson of the Arab International Women's Forum, will attend along with Qatar Development Bank CEO Abdul Aziz bin Nasser al-Khalifa, Qatari Businesswomen Forum chair and Qatar Chamber board member Ibtihaj al-Ahmadany, and QBI CEO Aysha al-Mudahka.
The AIWF was set up in London in 2001 to link Arab business and professional women in the 22 Arab countries with each other and with their counterparts in the international community.
The aim is to support and enhance the role of women in the social and economic development of their countries and across the Middle East region.
