(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan developments in Syria, the foreign ministry said Tuesday.
In a phone conversation, the two sides also discussed ways to bolster anti-terrorism efforts and the political process in Syria in order to settle the conflict in that country in accordance with the 2012 Geneva I Communique.
Moscow began its military air campaign in Syria about three weeks ago, targeting the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) and other terrorist organizations to destroy them.
