UAE VP, Egyptian Pres. discuss bilateral ties, regional developments


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al Maktoum on Tuesday held extensive talks with the visiting Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi.
The UAE news agency (WAM) reported that Sheikh Mohammad, also Ruler of Dubai, and President Al-Sisi discussed bilateral relations, latest developments in the region and issues of common concern.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammad emphasized that a stronger Egypt strengthens the Arab world.
He added the Emirati-Egyptian relations are based on the brotherhood, partnership and mutual understanding that was established by late president Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan and developed by current President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.
He underlined that Egypt, its people and leadership are partners of the UAE especially in the fields of education, culture and economy.
The two leaders also tackled cooperation between the UAE and Egypt for the benefit of both nations. In this regard, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed stressed the importance of expanding and diversifying cooperation in the areas of economy, investment and development.
Sheikh Mohammad briefed President Al-Sisi on UAE Strategy of 2021 and the government's efforts to enhance UAE's global status and competiveness.
