Turkey arrests 15 people attempting to cross borders to Syria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Turkey said Monday it arrested 15 people, including 11 foreigners, while trying to illegally cross the borders to Syria via the southern city of Gaziantep.
Gaziantep anti-terrorist forces arrested 15 people who included a child and 11 foreigners, a statement by the city's mayor said without disclosing nationalities of the foreigners.
The arrestees were referred to Gaziantep court which charged them with belonging to the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL).
Diyarbakir witnessed earlier in the day the killing of seven ISIL militants while 12 others were arrested during an operation, in which two policemen were also killed.
