Qatar hands over 66 houses to Tunisian families


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) unisia has received the keys to 66 houses, constructed by Qatari fund located in the Halima area in the city of Jendouba, in the northwestern part of the country.
The houses include 34 new tenements and 32 restored ones,
This came during a ceremony attended by Qatar's ambassador to Tunisia Abdullah bin Nasser al-Hamidi and governor of Jendouba al-Habib Alexandrani.
In his speech during the ceremony, the ambassador said that the project was launched last March as a response of Qatar to the call of duty towards the people in Tunisia, particularly in the northwestern part of the country.
Meanwhile, Jendouba's governor emphasised the good co-ordination between the two sides to ensure a good investment for this assistances that targeted the most affected social situations by cold waves and snow.
The project was implemented by Qatar Charity which adopted rigorous standards to ensure buildings were built to withstand severe cold waves and seasonal rains.
