Jordan- 1 dead, 12 injured in various road accidents


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) One person was killed and 12 were injured Sunday in road accidents that occurred during rainy weather in Madaba and Zarqa, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD).

It said the man died and another suffered bruises to various parts of his body after they were run down by a vehicle near Madaba, south of Amman. The injured was transferred to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in a moderate condition.

A two-vehicle collision in Jiza, south of Amman, also left seven people injured. They were treated on the spot by Madaba civil defence crews and ferried to the city's main hospital and their condition was described as fair.

CDD rescue crews in Zarqa also handled the crash of a vehicle in which four people were injured and admitted to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
