Kuwaiti women club amends laws in special assembly

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Al-Fatat Sport Club has amended its constituent laws in a move deemed as necessary for promoting the national athletic sector at the regional and international level.
The basic laws were modified during an extraordinary general assembly, held late on Sunday, at the club's headquarters, with presence of the required quorum.
Fadhila Al-Shwailan, the deputy chairperson of the women's club, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the assembly was attended by the club President, Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and representatives of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS). The amendments were introduced in line with the Resolution 548/2015 that enlists sport authorities' laws.
Approval of the proposed modifications "is a step forward on path of overhauling and backing the Kuwaiti sports and elevating the sector to the highest regional and international levels," she said, lauding the brotherly spirit that distinguished the meeting.
Such a spirit is the foundation for developing sports in the State of Kuwait at various levels, she affirmed.
