Microsoft's profits grow 2 percent in Q3


(MENAFN) Microsoft, the Redmond-based tech giant has beaten most analyst projections although it posted a small increase in profits over the third quarter.

The US top firm saw its profits surge 2 percent to USD4.6 billion in the cited period, stating that the new focus on cloud-based software is bringing results.

The company has been shifting to offer more services over the Internet cloud to adapt to a new agenda in which mobile devices have become more important.

"User excitement for new devices, Windows 10 is growing as we bring together the best Microsoft experiences to empower people to achieve more," said the CEO.
