Volvo's sales soar 9 percent in Q3


(MENAFN) Volvo group, the Swedish multinational manufacturing company, witnessed its sales grow 9 percent from last year to USD8.6 billion in the three months to September.

According to recent reports, Volvo Group saw a quarter-on-quarter sales climb 11 percent in its core market of Western Europe and a 28 percent increase in North America.

As far as profits are concerned, the firm registered a total of USD364 million in the July-September timeframe, which doubles last year's figures through the mentioned period.

'The work on the efficiency program is running according to plan measured in local currencies,' said the group's acting chief executive officer in a recent statement.
