British BP, Chinese Huadian close USD10b gas pact

(MENAFN) BP, the British multinational oil company has signed a USD10 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal with China's Huadian power producer.

According to the contract, BP will deliver up to 1 million tons of LNG per year over a 20 years period to Huadian, China's biggest gas-fired power generator.

BP and China National Petroleum Corporation also agreed to mutually find new oil and LNG trading chances and to work together on carbon emissions trading.

"More than 12 billion pounds worth of oil and gas deals had been signed with China as part of the President's visit," said the British Prime Minister.
