(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Iran Foreign Minster Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov Saturday held talks via telephone on the situation in Syria and means to restore stability in the Middle East.
According to Iran's (Fars) news agency the two foreign ministers agreed to strengthen their cooperation in order to bring stability and security to the Middle East.
Lavrov elaborated on the results of Moscow's meeting with Washington, Riyadh and Ankara on Syria. Quadrilateral talks were held between Russia, US, Saudi Arabia and Turkey about Syria in Vienna on Friday.
