Hurricane Patricia makes landfall on Mexico's Pacific coast


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Mexico City Muharram 10 1437 Oct 23 2015 SPA -- The eye of hurricane Patricia the strongest storm ever recorded in the Americas has made landfall on the Pacificcoast of Mexico's Jalisco state authorities said.
"Hurricane Patricia is already on the Mexican coast. Do not go out"Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto is warning via Twitter. "Protectyourselves and follow the instructions of Civil Protection. I am looking out for you."
As the category-five storm reaches land the hurricane has sustainedwinds of 270 kilometres per hour the US National Hurricane Centresays.
Strong winds and heavy rain are particularly affecting the states of Jalisco Colima and Nayarit.
