UAE- Mauritanian President receives Abdullah bin Zayed

NOUAKCHOTT 22nd October 2015 (WAM) -- Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz yesterday received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation in Nouakchott.

During the meeting H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to the President of Mauritania wishing the President and the brotherly people of Mauritania continuous progress.

The Mauritanian President welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation saying that he hoped that his visit will strengthen the bonds of relations between the two brotherly countries. The President also conveyed his sincere greetings and best wishes to the UAE leadership and its peoples.

During the meeting the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between their countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields and exchanged views on current developments on the regional and international arenas.

The Mauritanian President praised the developments the UAE achieved at various levels noting the distinct stature that the country achieved under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed his pleasure at visiting Mauritania and meeting with President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and expressed his hope that the visit opens new horizons of joint cooperation and coordination so as to contribute to the consolidation of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields.

The meeting was attended by Issa Abdullah Al Kalbani UAE Ambassador to Mauritania.
