UAE Parliamentary Division delegation holds meeting with GRULAC in Geneva

GENEVA 22nd October 2015 (WAM) -- A delegation of the UAE Parliamentary Division headed by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi First Deputy Chairman of the Federal National Council and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held a meeting with a delegation from the Latin American and Caribbean Group GRULAC which includes 21 countries under the chairmanship of Roberto Leon Ramirez at the headquarters of the Inter-Parliamentary Union UIP in Geneva on the sidelines of the 133rd Assembly of the Union.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency WAM Dr. Al Qubaisi confirmed that the meeting issued a joint communique in which it says it will allow the exchange of expertise and the organisation of joint activities and programmes to strengthen parliamentary work not only at the level of parliamentary diplomacy but also in the areas of parliamentary work.

Dr. Al Qubaisi said that the joint communique reinforces the mutual and common desire to promote international peace and security which is threatened by many international and regional crises and the rapid changes at economic and social levels.
