Yemen, Germany discuss situation developments


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Yemen's President Abd Rabbu Mansur Hadi met with Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and members of the German Parliament in the Saudi capital Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed developments in Yemen, reviewing circumstances that led to the ongoing conflict, including the coup d'etat by the Houthis and former President Ali Abdullah Saleh against legitimate leadership.
Hadi stated to reporters that he has directed local authorities in his country to allow the entry of petroleum products, as well as relief and humanitarian materials to all Yemeni sea ports in order to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, caused by the tragic situations in their country.
For his part, the German minister and parliamentarians reiterated their support of President Hadi and their stand by Yemen's security, stability, and unity, stressing the importance of implementing UNSC resolutions, particularly the 2216.
