Jordan- Foreign minister, Swiss counterpart discuss ties, Mideast issues


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, on Monday, discussed with the Foreign Minister of Switzerland, Didier Burkhalter, ties between Jordan and Switzerland and a number of Middle East issues.

They tackled issues on the agenda of the 2015 Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mediterranean Conference which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Dead Sea. Representatives of 57 countries from the OSCE and six countries from the Mediterranean will take part in the conference.

The two ministers discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and the fight against terrorism and extremism. The talks also touched on the Syrian crisis as well as burden being borne by Jordan as a result of hosting a massive number of Syrian refugees on its territory.
