Jordan- King receives Tunisian president upon arrival in Amman


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday, received Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, who arrived in Amman on a two-day official visit upon an invitation from His Majesty.

The Tunisian president was accorded an official reception at the Marka Military Airport, where he arrived to a 21-gun salute as a guard of honour greeted him and a brass band played the national anthems of Tunisia and Jordan.

President Essebsi was also welcomed by the prime minister, the Senate president, the Lower House speaker, the president of the Judicial Council, the Royal Court chief along with the president of the Constitutional Court, the King's advisors, the director of the King's office, ministers as well as top civil and military officials.

The Tunisian president is accompanied by his foreign minister as well as a number of top officials.
