Yemeni President Discusses Crisis in Yemen with German FM


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi met here last night with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and members of the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag).

During the meeting, President Hadi reviewed the reality of the crisis in Yemen and the events it had witnessed, especially after all started a comprehensive national dialogue process, which did not exclude anyone and was attended by various political groups and civil society organizations.

He pointed out that the dialogue put all the solutions to those problems that were plaguing Yemen, adding that was approved by the document of the national dialogue outputs and embodied in the new draft constitution which based on justice, equality and good governance away from exclusion, marginalization and monopolizing of power and wealth, but the Houthis and Saleh did not like those outputs and turned against the consensus of Yemeni people and the outputs of the national dialogue and stormed the capital Sana'a and other provinces and cities by the force of arms looted from the security and military institutions.

President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi also praised the efforts of the Arab coalition countries, led by Saudi Arabia, represented by the Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Renewal of Hope to the Yemeni people in various cities and provinces.

For their part, members of the German Federal Parliament expressed their support for the Yemeni president, reconfirming that their country will provide support and assistance to Yemen, stressing the need to implement Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216.
