Saudi- Cabinet briefed on king's talks with world leaders
(MENAFN- Arab News)RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman briefed the Cabinet on his talks with President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti the Prime Minister of France Manuel Valls Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier the leader of the Progressive Socialist Party of Lebanon Walid Jumblatt and Director General of the World Trade Organization Robert Azevedo.
The Cabinet was briefed on various issues which included the Shoura Council studying within the next 30 days a draft proposal to impose fees on people who are not developing their land. The Cabinet also approved a proposal to set up a permanent committee at the headquarters of the General Authority of Civil Aviation to deal with threats to civil aviation in areas of armed conflict.
The ministers authorized the president of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy or his deputy to discuss and sign a peaceful nuclear development agreement with Japan.
Culture and Information Minister Adel Al-Toraifi said the ministers also discussed various conferences and events that took place recently including the Fifth National Congress for Quality where participants looked at ways to improve Saudi products and promote innovation.
