Riyadh hosts global conference to address obesity and diabetes in GCC

Riyadh: A global conference to address the obesity and diabetes in the Gulf states will open in Riyadh Tuesday under the slogan "Partnership for Change".

The three-day conference will be held from October 20 to 22 under the auspices of the Saudi Health Ministry.

The conference aims to promote scientific research and support sophisticated methods to cope with diabetes and obesity in Gulf states and to develop reference guide for investment in the face of diabetes and obesity.

The conference seeks to set up a guide for cooperation between the relevant parties and a plan to rise awareness on diabetes and obesity including all medical and non-medical aspects. It also aims at creating a database to cover all aspects of the disease in the Gulf states.
