Two Syrian drug traffickers arrested by Lebanese forces


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Two Syrian nationals were arrested by Lebanese security forces for attempting to smuggle a large quantity of drug pills into a Gulf country, security forces announced Sunday without naming the nation.
Over 200,000 Captagon pills, weighing 36.5 kilograms, hidden in coffee bean sacks were found inside the Syrians' traveling suitcases at Beirut-Rafiq Hariri International Airport, General Directorate of Internal Security said in a statement.
The arrested and seized items were taken to the central anti-drugs bureau for a wide-interrogation.
