Saudi CP receives UN envoy for Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, received here on Sunday UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed latest developments of the situation in Yemen, UN efforts to find a peaceful solution and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2216, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The meeting, attended by Minister of State Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and other senior officials, was part of a chain of meetings by the UN envoy now on a visit to Saudi Arabia. Earlier Sunday Cheikh Ahmed held talks with Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, and GCC Secretary-General Abdullatif Al-Zayani.
