Iranian FM Meets Omani Counterpart, Kurdistan PM


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held separate talks here with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi and Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan Nechervan Barzani.
The talks were held on the sidelines of the preliminary meeting of the Munich Security Conference in Tehran on Saturday, (IRNA) reported.
Zarif's talks with bin Alawi concentrated on bilateral and regional issues, particularly the Syrian crisis.
His talks with Barzani dealt with the latest developments in bilateral relations and the situation in Iraq as well as regional issues.
Iranian Foreign Minister stressed Iran's support for the unity and sovereignty of Iraq, expressing hope that Iraqi officials' efforts will contribute in preserving the unity of their country and liberating areas occupied by Daesh.
