(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)Algiers Muharram 04 1437 October 17 2015 SPA -- Abdulmajeed Taboon Algeria's minister of housing and construction met here today with visiting Chairman of China's Council for the Promotion of South-South Cooperation Luksin Hwa and discussed with him opportunities of cooperation between the two countries in the field of building and construction.
The Algerian minister urged Chinese institutions to invest in Algeria in the field of manufacturing of building materials as his country depends on 90% locally-made materials to make houses.
Later the Chinese official met with Algeria's minister of commerce Bakhti BelAyeb and discussed with him chances of commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries.
In this regard the Algerian minister said his country is seeking to obtain a loan from China to finance some giant projects.
