OIC Secretary General condemns Israeli crimes against Palestinians

JEDDAH 14th October 2015 (WAM) -- Iyad Ameen Madani Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation OIC has condemned continuing Israeli crimes in the occupied Palestinian territory especially in the city of Jerusalem which has led to 29 deaths and 1400 injuries since the beginning of October a violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law.

The Secretary-General said that the organisation is implementing the decisions of the session held earlier this month at the level of Foreign Ministers. The decisions include requesting emergency sessions to be held by the UN Security Council and Human Rights Council as soon as possible to put a stop to the deterioration of the situation in the Palestinian Territory offering international protection as well as calling for the formation of an international committee to investigate Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
