Eight terrorists killed in Turkey's southeast
(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly)Clashes between Turkish security forces and PKK terroristsTuesday in the southeastern province of Hakkari have seen eight terrorists killed and three security forces’ members wounded the governor’s office said.
The fighting in Yuksekovadistrict saw security forces capture weapons including an anti-aircraft gun. Earlier Tuesday the Turkish military said 12 PKK members were killed Monday in the same district. Turkey has been conducting operations against the PKK since late July when a two-and-a-half year lull inthe fightingended. Since then more than 150 members of the security forces have been martyred while according to the government more than 2000 PKK terrorists have been killed.
