China to construct 4 mainstream InterCitys' railways


(MENAFN) China's top economic planner has permitted the building of four new railways extending 2,000 km in total, with an overall worth of USD39.6 billion, according to the available data.

The first express railway will tie four cities in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region with a total investment of USD1.2 billion, and the second and third lines will link cities in Anhui and Sichuan provinces, respectively.

As far as the fourth line is concerned, it presents the largest investment yet among the four totaling at USD16.8 billion, located in the Fujian Province, plus the construction forecasts to be finished within next five years.

Furthermore, Indigenous governments and the China Railway Corporation will deliver the bulk of the funding, and the rest will come from commercial and policy banks, the NDRC stated.
