Interior minister, UN official discuss aid to Jordan


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Interior Minister, Salamah Hammad, along with Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Grete Faremo discussed means to support Jordan's economic and developmental ventures.

The two sides also discussed local governing, decentralization and ways to support the Kingdom in this regard through specialized programs in building institutional capabilities, as well as, administrative and technical planning.

Hammad overviewed Jordan's needs to implement the decentralization project, adding that the venture is aiming at reinvigorating pubic participation based on scientific and administrative bases.

Faremo stressed that the international agency will support Jordan's projects in this field to the enable the Kingdom to overcome the impacts of the Syrian refugees crisis and other challenges facing the country.
