DOHA: Qatar Orphan Foundation (Dhreima) yesterday launched a five-day drive to secondary school to educate students on issues of orphans and their role in serving hapless children.

Twenty students each from 25 secondary schools are participating. Experts will deliver lectures to interpret the purpose of the campaign to participants.

The drive aims to prepare youngsters to promote social values through their classmates and friends Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports.

The campaign titled ‘Ruwwad Al Qiyam Bqiamana Nasmu Maan’ (Pioneers of values through our value we will rise) is being organised at Hilton Hotel for the fourth year in a row. “It is necessary to assign bigger roles to youngsters so they could hold their responsibilities to protect values” said Khalid Kamal Director-General Dhreima. “Their contribution is needed to create awareness among friends and classmates. It will be more effective and responded. The venue was selected out of schools to get attention of students.”

A campaign continues on social networking sites to switch youngsters from useless activities to a fruitful discussion to improve their behaviours and promote Islamic and Arab identity among them.
