(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Exchange index gained 301.61 points (+2.63 percent) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 11,754.74 points.
Trading value during this week increased by 74.60 percent to reach QR 1,408,349,712.02 compared to QR 806,614,191.27.
Trading volume increased by 135.09 percent to reach 40,386,962 shares, as against 17,179,684 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 86.21 percent, to reach 21,701 transactions as compared to 11,654 transactions.
Market capitalization rose by 2.19 percent to reach QR 616,481,427,110.81 as compared to QR 603,276,371,059.19 at the end of previous week.
Real estate sector led traded value this week with 26.44 percent of the total traded value. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 25.20 percent. Industries sector accounted for 24.94 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 8.83 percent.
Real estate sector led traded volume this week 40.19 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 15.25 percent. Industries sector accounted for 14.64 percent and telecoms sector accounted for 12.70 percent.
Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week with 28.23 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 23.88 percent. Real estate sector accounted for 20.89 percent and telecoms sector accounted for 9.54 percent.
From the 43 listed companies 32 ended this week higher, while 10 fell and one unchanged.
Ezdan Holding Group led traded value during this week accounted for 13.01 percent of the total traded value. QNB accounted for 8.58 percent and Gulf International Services accounted for 8.20 percent.
