(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) An Israeli raid killed here early Sunday a Palestinian woman and her child as the Israeli troops were attacking locations of Hamas movement eastern and southern Gaza.
The spokesman of the Health Ministry in Gaza, Dr Ashraf Al-Qedrah, said in press remarks that the raid totally damaged a Palestinian house and caused the death of a three-year old child and a 30-year-old pregnant mother, besides injuring three members of a family.
The raid targeted "Bader" and "Abu Jarrad" locations affiliated to Hamas in eastern and southern Gaza, causing material damage to the surrounding houses, local sources said.
The Israeli army said in remarks to the media that war aircraft targeted two military locations in response to launching two rockets towards Ashkelon.
The army earlier announced closure of Beit Hanoun crossing, considering it a military zone.
