S. Korean Daelim to construct USD232m power plant in Indonesia


(MENAFN) A group of companies led by Daelim Industrial Co., South Korea's fourth-largest builder, has secured a contract worth USD231.9 million to build a hydroelectric power plant in Indonesia.

In more detail, Daelim collaborated with the Italian construction firm Astaldi SpA., and Indonesian state-run Wika to finalize the Upper Cisokan Pumped Storage (UCPS) Power Project in West Java.

Upon completion, the 1,040 mega-watt power factory will generate electricity from a near dam that has two reservoirs: the upper one 75.5 meters high and the lower one 98m high.
