Mart Resources quashes reports of a revived deal with Midwestern
(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors) Mart Resources (CVE:MMT) has refuted reports in the Nigerian press that it has agreed to a takeover by Midwestern Oil & Gas.
The two companies had previously been in takeover talks but were unable to agree on terms before the expiry of an agreed deadline on 26 August.
Mart said it is not presently in bid talks with Midwestern but it has previously said that as it is currently reviewing its strategic options the merger with its Nigerian partner could still take place.
The report of a revived transaction now removed was on a news agency web site.
