(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi hailed the efforts of the United States and the United Kingdom in supporting the legitimacy in Yemen as well as the hard work to achieve peace based on the international legitimacy resolutions and to find an operational mechanism for the international resolutions, in particular resolution 2216.
This came during a meeting between President Hadi with each of US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Ambassador Anne Patterson, US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew H. Tueller and UK Ambassador to Yemen Vuitton Brown.
During the meeting, they reviewed the current situation in Yemen amid the continued aggression by coup militias in various parts of the country.
The Yemeni President pointed out to the instructions he issued to open all Yemeni ports to imports of oil derivatives and humanitarian and relief assistance and medicine to break the siege imposed by the Houthi coup and ousted Saleh against the Yemeni people.
