Qatar, Oman Sign Tourism Cooperation Agreement


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al -Thani, and Omani Minister of tourism Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi signed here today a joint agreement to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism .

The two sides under the agreement seek to build on the existing cooperation, which have achieved a number of initiatives within the cruise Arabia Alliance including entry tourist visas between the two countries that will enhance the inter- tourism.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the second meeting of Their Excellencies the ministers responsible for tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which currently being held in Doha, to discuss cooperation between the Gulf states in the field of tourism, with a view to activating tourism highlighting the region as a favorite tourist destination in the world.

The signing ceremony was attended by Chairman of the General Authority for Tourism Issa Bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, and a number of tourism departments officials of the two countries.
