Up to 272 Palestinians wounded in clashes with Israeli troops


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that 272 Palestinians were injured by Israeli troop's gunfire in the West Bank on Wednesday. Nine of these were hit with live bullets, 84 with rubber-coated bullets and 179 almost suffocated due to toxic gas fired by the Israeli troops, PRCS spokesperson Erab Al-Fuqaha told the Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA).
The majority of the injured were recorded in Jericho and Ramallah, 212 and 35 respectively, Al-Fuqaha added, noting that three more injured were detained by the Israelis.
He noted that the statistics were recorded since the morning till 1800 local time (GMT 1500).
Palestinian Protests are still on in many parts of the West Bank in support of Al-Aqsa.
Thus, 1,042 Palestinians have been injured since the since the clashes erupted on Saturday.
