UAE -Nahyan bin Mubarak receives delegations from Indonesia and China

ABU DHABI 7th October 2015 (WAM) -- Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Culture Youth and Community Development yesterday received a delegation from the Indonesian Gerindra or Great Indonesia Movement Party headed by Prabowo Subianto.

Sheikh Nahyan and the head of the delegation discussed parliamentary relations and issues of concern to the two countries and briefed Subianto on the results of the Federal National Council elections which took place earlier this month.

The head of the Indonesian delegation praised the UAE's parliamentary experience referring to the phenomenon of increasing youth interaction especially women and their involvement in parliamentary work in an atmosphere of harmony and tranquility.

Sheikh Nahyan also received an Chinese economic delegation headed by Zhang Jian Wei Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce and Industry for International Trade.

Sheikh Nahyan exchanged talks with the Head of Chinese delegation on trade relations between the two countries and the role of chambers of commerce and industry in their development praising the economic activity and trade exchange between the UAE and China.

The Chinese official stressed the importance of the continuation of bilateral trade relations and their development for the service and interest of the peoples of both countries.

Sheikh Nahyan hosted a lunch banquet for the heads and members of the two delegations which was attended by a number of UAE economic figures.
