Doha: Qatar hosts today the 27th meeting of GCC justice ministers who arrived in Doha yesterday and were welcomed by Minister of Justice H E Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Muhannadi and senior ministry officials. The meeting at Sheraton Hotel will discuss strengthening joint cooperation in the justice and judicial field and review results of the undersecretaries’ meetings and other key issues of concern to the GCC states.
Chevrolet Caprice Lumina 2011-2013 models recalled
Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has recalled 2011-2013 models of Chevrolet Caprice and Lumina due to the possibility of the driver’s knee hitting the ignition key. The ministry said the recall is within the framework of coordination and follow-up to ascertain dealers’ commitment to follow up defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
The ministry said it will coordinate with dealers to follow up maintenance and repairs and communicate with customers to ensure implementation of procedures to fix defects. It urged consumers to report any abuse or irregularity to the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat which receives complaints suggestions and inquiries.
Order of Merit for Qatari envoy
Caracas: Caracas Mayor Dr Jorge Rodriguez presented Qatari Ambassador to Venezuela Battal Meajeb Al Dosari with Order of Merit (Juan Francisco de Leon) of First Class. Dr Rodriguez praised Al Dosari’s work and keenness to promote relations between both countries. Al Dosari thanked and praised officials for cooperation to facilitate success of his mission in strengthening ties between both countries. QNA
