(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Qatar University, chaired the first meeting of the board of the 2015-2016 academic year that was held Monday morning at the Emiri Diwan.
The board presented a review of their decisions and recommendations of the fourth meeting of the previous academic year. The board also discussed the annual report of the University's president on the 2014/2015 academic year. The report focused on students as well as scientific research and community service.
Afterwards, the board discussed the budget for 2016. Furthermore, they discussed Qatar's advanced in the rankings of QS Maple. They also agreed to appoint Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khanji as ?Vice President for Student Affairs.
