DEC announces partnership with Global Trade Development Week

DUBAI 6th October 2015 (WAM) -- Dubai Economic Council DEC has announced a partnership with Global Trade Development Week to be held in Dubai from 27th-29th October.

Hani Al Hamli DEC Secretary-General will present a keynote speech during the event which will bring together 1000 trade leaders from both business and private sectors coming to Dubai from over 100 countries. The event is organised under the patronage of Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri Minister of Economy.

Mr. Al Mansouri who will provide the opening keynote address said "Supporting GTDW reflects the UAE's commitment to promoting the growth of international trade as an engine for growth peace and prosperity for not only the UAE but across the world."

Al Hamli said "We are delighted to welcome to Dubai leading names in trade and industry from all corners of the world. This is an excellent opportunity to engage in dynamic dialogue on international trade a tool for creating and linking markets that will help drive forward Dubai's position in the global economy. The dedication to a free and open international trading system has been one of the cornerstones of Dubai's robust economic development and high-level representatives at GTDW are looking to learn from Dubai's achievements.

GTDW 2015 will be addressed by 150 speakers who are some the most influential leaders driving world trade today. GTDW features a series of specialised trade summits that link key sectors across international trade including business banking customs corporate real estate infrastructure specialised economic zones supply chain logistics and transport. "Innovation in Global Trade and Economic Development" is the theme for GTDW 2015 and innovation will underpin discussions in all of the GTDW's six trade summits.
