Spirit of UAE on display in Abu Dhabi

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Annah Burj Al Sarab, Abu Dhabi's newest luxury hotel, will exhibit a collection of paintings by Emirati artist Budoor Al Ali. Known for her portraits of the Abu Dhabi royal family and depictions of heritage-inspired imagery, the year-long exhibition will be in the lobby of the hotel located in the Al Zahiya/Mina area.

The spirit of the UAE will be on display via four collections, updated every quarter throughout the year. It will be an opportunity for tourists and residents to catch a glimpse of the culture, heritage and folklore of the region as interpreted through Al Ali's work.

"I wanted to give the audience an opportunity to experience art with music, to bring out good feelings and for their souls to be nurtured with beautiful vibes," Al Ali said.

A number of art and cultural activities will run alongside the exhibition, taking the viewer's experience one step further - the collection includes depictions of different elements from desert life. Additionally, three sketches of the Abu Dhabi royal family, which have been specially commissioned by Jannah Burj Al Sarab management, will be housed permanently in the hotel's lobby. Some of the proceeds will go to The Aounk Ya Yaman charity to support the health and education of poor and needy children in Yemen.
